今週分 노래를 紹介합니다.

[Four strong winds]

이 노래는 Canada folk duet인 Ian Tyson and Sylvia Tyson 이 1963년에 發表했는데 美國에서는 Brother Four가 再發表했읍니다. 헤어지는 戀人關係를 안타깝게 그린 노래인데 實際로 Ian Tyson 과 Sylvia Tyson이 夫婦關係(1964~1975)를 끝냈었다고 합니다. 두 曲 모두를 보내드리는데 歌詞는 Brothers Four version으로 準備했습니다.

외롭게 부는 ‘四方의(or 모든)’ 거센 바람,

거칠게 굽이치는 ‘7大洋(or 이 世上 모든 바다)’

All those things that don't change, Come what may.

무슨 일이 닥치더라도 變함 없는 것들이네

But our good times are all gone,

And I'm bound for moving on.

우리의 좋은 時節은 모두 지나갔고

나는 다른 곳으로 가야 하네

I'll look for you if I'm ever back this way.

내가 이 곳에 다시 돌아오는 일이 정말 있다면 나는 그대를 찾으리라

I think I'll go out to [Alberta]*,

The weather's good there in the fall.

나는 Alberta로 갈까 생각하네

그곳은 가을에 날씨가 좋고

나는 나에게 일자리를 줄 수 있는 ‘親舊(or 벗)’ 몇 名이 있네
