黑人靈歌인 이 노래 속에는 奴隸制度가 있었던 美國에서 몹시 괴로웠던 奴隸生活의 苦痛을 오로지 주님께 하소연하는 슬프지만 올바른 信仰生活을 했던 黑人들의 貌襲(모습)이 그려져 있읍니다.
