子曰。君子喩於義。小人喩於利。

자왈. 군자유어의. 소인유어리.

子曰：“君子喻于义，小人喻于利。”

 

飜譯 by sjc;

子曰。君子는 ‘正義를 잘 알고(or 正義에 밝으며)’ 小人은 ‘利益을 잘 안다(or 利益에 밝다)’ 。

 

英譯;

The Master said, "The mind of the superior man is conversant with righteousness; the mind of the mean man is conversant with gain."
