2. The background of this song; According to an old time legend, a woman became a widow at the age of 20. She was so lonely that she really wanted to see her mother and went up this mountain pass which overlooked the village where her mother lived. At the same time, her mother also wanted to see her daughter so much and went up this mountain pass from the opposite side to her daughter’s side. So they could see and meet each other there. 1. ‘만날 고개(位置; 昌原市 馬山合浦區 月影洞 山 57-1)’の歌は1988年、馬山文人協会が発刊した’합포의 노래（ 合浦の歌）’に発表されて1989年、金奉天さんが作曲した。そして1995年、中学校1学年の音樂敎科書に収録された。 (source; internet)
2.’만날 고개’の碑石の內容; 20歲で未亡人がなって操を守りながら生きて行った女性がある年の旧暦8月17日、実家の便りが非常に懐かしくて実家の村が見える峠へ登った。実家の母親も娘の便りが懐かしくて人がたくさん通る峠に登って行人の間でうろうろする娘を見て駆けつけ、抱き合って多くの情趣を分かち合った。その後、この峠は‘만날 고개（出会いの峠）’と 呼ばれるようになった。(source; internet)
