There's a village, hidden deep in the valley among the pine trees, half forlorn.
소나무 숲 사이로 ‘半쯤 버려져서(or 보일 듯 말 듯)’ 深深산골에 묻힌 마을이 있네

And there, on a sunny morning, Little Jimmy Brown was born.
和暢(화창)한 어느 날 아침, 그곳에서‘지미 브라운’아기가 태어났었네  

All the chapel bells were ringing, in the little valley town,
그 작은 마을에서 모든 敎會의 鐘들이 울렸고

And the song that they were singing was for baby Jimmy Brown.
그 鐘들은 ‘지미 브라운’아기를 위하여 울렸네
 
And the little congregation prayed for guidance from above:
그리고 그 작은 마을 敎會信徒들은 주님의 ‘이끄심(or 引導하심)’을 請하는 祈禱를 드렸네

"Lead us not into temptation, bless this hour of meditation. Guide him with eternal love."
“저희들을 誘惑에 빠지지 않게 하시옵고 ‘默想(or 祈禱)’의 이 時間을 祝福하시옵소서. 그 아기를 永遠하신 사랑으로써 이끌어 주시옵소서”

There's a village, hidden deep in the valley, beneath the mountains high above.
높은 山들 밑 深深산골에 묻힌 마을이 있네

And there, twenty years thereafter, Jimmy was to meet his love.
20年後 그곳에서 ‘지미’는 그의 사랑을 만나게 되었네

All the chapel bells were ringing, ‘Twas a great day in his life,
모든 敎會의 鐘들이 울렸네, 그날은 그의 人生에서 重要한 날이었네 

‘Cause the song that they were singing was for Jimmy and his wife.
왜냐하면 그 鐘들이 ‘지미’夫婦를 위하여 울렸기 때문이었네

Then the little congregation prayed for guidance from above:
그리고 그 작은 마을 敎會信徒들은 주님의 ‘이끄심(or 引導하심)’을 請하는 祈禱를 드렸네

"Lead us not into temptation, bless, O Lord, this celebration. May their lives be filled with love."
“저희들을 誘惑에 빠지지 않게 하시옵고 이 結婚잔치를 祝福하시옵소서, 오 주님. 이 夫婦가 사랑으로 充滿한 삶을 살게 하시옵소서” 

From the village, hidden deep in the valley, one rainy morning dark and gray,
어둡고 흐린 어느 비 오는 아침, 深深산골에 묻힌 마을로부터 

A soul winged its way to heaven. Jimmy Brown had passed away.
한 ‘넋(or 靈魂)’이 天堂으로 날아갔네. ‘지미 브라운’이 世上을 떠났네

Just one lonely bell was ringing, in the little valley town,
외로운 鐘 딱 하나가 그 작은 마을에서 울렸네

‘Twas farewell that it was singing to our good old Jimmy Brown.
그것은 우리의 좋은 이웃 ‘지미 브라운’에게 바치는 作別歌였네

And the little congregation prayed for guidance from above:
그리고 그 작은 마을 敎會信徒들은 주님의 ‘이끄심(or 引導하심)’을 請하는 祈禱를 드렸네

"Lead us not into temptation, may his soul find the salvation of Thy great eternal love."
“저희들을 誘惑에 빠지지 않게 하시옵고 그의 ‘넋(or 靈魂)’이 당신의 永遠하신 큰 사랑 안에 있는 救援을 ‘찾게(or 發見하게)’ 하시옵소서
