주무시게나, 지친 떠돌이, 그대여!

Let the towns drift slowly by
都市들이 천천히 움직이도록 내버려 두시게나

Listen to the steel rails hummin'
鐵道 騷音(소음)에 귀를 기우려보시게나

That's the hobo's lullaby
그것이 ‘떠돌이’의 ‘자장가’라네

Now do not think about tomorrow
지금 來日을 생각하지 마시게나

Let tomorrow come and go
來日이 왔다가 가게 내버려 두시게

Tonight you have a nice warm boxcar
Safe from all the rain and snow
오늘 밤 그대는 모든 비와 눈을 막아주는 
멋지고 따뜻한 汽車(기차) ‘貨物칸’이 있으니

I know your clothes are torn and ragged
그대의 옷이 찢어지고 낡으며

And your hair is streaked with gray
그대의 머리칼은 灰色(회색) 투성이로 
되어있는 것을 나는 아네

Lift your chin and smile at trouble

You'll have peace and rest someday
(그러면) 그대는 平和와 安息을 언젠가는 맞이하리니

왜냐하면 그대는 如前히 그대 母親의 아들이기에

그들은 어디서나 괴로움을 誘發(유발)하지만

But when you die and go to Heaven
