이 世上을 떠난 많은 벗들과 自身도 그렇게 되리라는 것을 노래한 이 作品은 世俗謠이지만 宗敎的인 雰圍氣(분위기)도 풍기고 있읍니다. 러시아語로 불려진 原作과 英語로 불려진 노래를 함께 보내드립니다.

너는 ‘靑春(or 젊음)’과 故鄕과 저 ‘달콤했던(or 아름답던)’ 

時節에 關해서 (나에게) 할 얘기들이 얼마나 많겠느냐? 

when last I heard your soothing chime.

너의 慰安을 주는‘소리를(or 音響을)’

내가 마지막으로 들었을 때

Those lovely days they're passed away.

그런 사랑스러운 날들 그날들은 가버렸고

And many a friend I'm sad to say,

where they are now I cannot tell,

‘말하기 슬프지만(or 슬프게도)’많은 ‘벗(or 親舊)’들이 

지금 어디에 있는지 나는 말할 수 없구나

no more to hear the evening bell.

and so with me when I am gone.

그리고 내가 (이 世上을) 떠나갔을 때 나에게도

That haunting sound will still ring on,

while other people near yourself

and sing your praise sweet evening bell.
