그분께서는 골짜기의 ‘나리꽃’ 곧 光明과 샛별이시네

그분께서는 ‘萬花(or 모든 꽃)’ 가운데 가장 아름다운 꽃이 되시어 내 靈魂(영혼)에 오시네

誘惑(유혹)을 받을 때 그분께서는 나의 强力한 ‘望樓(or 監視塔)’되시네

나는 그분을 위해서 모든 것을 버렸고 내 마음에서 모든 내 偶像(우상)들을 찢어버렸네

and now He keeps me by His pow’r.
지금 그분께서는 그분의 權能(권능)으로써 나를 지키시네)

Though all the world forsake me, and Satan tempts me sore,
世上 모두가 나를 버리고 사탄이 나를 몹시 誘惑(유혹)하지만,

Through Jesus I shall safely reach that shore.
예수님을 통하여 나는 安全하게 天邊(천변)에 다다르겠네

*1.이 聖歌의 原曲은 “Little old log cabin(작은 옛 통나무집)” 이라는 流行歌였읍니다. As with some other hymns, the tune of his popular vaudeville song, “Little old log cabin” was adapted to the new hymn by the lyricist, C W Fry, who wrote “Lily of the valley”. [source; Hymnary.org]

*3.韓國語로는 ‘銀방울꽃’이지만 여기서는 ‘골짜기의 나리꽃(or 百合花)’으로 옮겼습니다.This means a name of a flower, but here in the Korean version, it is translated simply as a flower to have bloomed in a valley.
