이 노래는 Eric Bogle (1944~Present) 이 作詞/曲했으며 本人이 불렀습니다. 이 분은 Scotland 

出生인데 25세 때 濠洲로 移民을 가서 現在까지 그곳에서 居住하고 있습니다. 그래서인지 그의 

애달픈 望鄕歌는 듣는 이에게 깊은 憂愁를 줍니다. 參考로 PMC 첫回分(2018.08.01)으로 나간 

Leaving the land도 이 분이 作詞/曲했습니다.

故鄕집에 또 다시 있었으면 얼마나 좋을까 하고 나는 또 마음 속으로 願하네

It's been a long time since my heart talked to me

오랜만에 내 마음이 나에게 眞心을 말했네

Wastin' my precious days wishin' my life away

내 人生이 사라지기를 願하면서 내 貴重한 날들을 浪費하면서

If wishes were fishes we'd all cast nets in the sea

所願들이 물고기들이라면 우리 모두는 바다에 漁網을 던질 텐데

And I wish I was young again my song still to be sung again

그리고 나는 내가 다시 젊어진다면 

내 노래가 如前히 또 다시 불려지기를 願하네

The sweet tunes of my life have gone sour and off key

내 人生의 아름다운 旋律들은 엉클어지고 不協和音이 되었네

Writin' my tired old rhymes tryin’ to turn back time

過去를 되돌리려고 나는 지친 옛 “노래들(or 韻律들)”을 만들면서

If wishes were fishes we'd all cast nets in the sea

所願들이 물고기들이라면 우리 모두는 바다에 漁網을 던질 텐데

And if wishes were fishes I know where I'd be

그리고 所願들이 물고기들이라면 나는 내가 어느 곳에 있을지 알텐데

Casting my net in the dark rolling sea

어두운 激浪의 바다에 나의 漁網을 던지면서

And if my net's empty when it comes back to shore

I'll throw it away and go fishing no more

그리고 바닷가로 왔을 때 내 漁網이 비었다면 나는 漁網을 

내던지고 더 以上 고기잡이를 하지 않겠네

I wish I could care again reach out and share again

나는 ‘남(or 他人)’을 또 다시 돌보고 내 손을 내밀어 

또 다시 나눌 수 있기를 願하네

Mend what’s been broken and let it run free

나는 (물고기의) 다친 部分을 고쳐서 “그것이(or 물고기가)” 

맘껏 (바다 속을) 다니게 할 수 있기를 願하네

The older I get it seems the more 

wishin' takes the place of dreams

내가 늙어갈수록 所望들이 꿈들을 ‘代身(or 代替)’해 가는 것 같네

所願들이 물고기들이라면 우리 모두는 바다에 漁網을 던질 텐데
