[Te Deum] K.141 

이 노래는 가톨릭 敎會에서 쓰이는 聖父 하느님과 聖子 그리스도님에 對한 라틴語 讚頌歌입니다. 오늘은 Mozart version의 Te Deum을 보내드립니다. 이 雄壯한 聖歌를 들을 때, 저는 Mozart의 作曲 當時의 마음을 조금은 理解할 듯 합니다. 參考로 歌詞 飜譯들은 直譯으로 했습니다.

Te(Thee) Deum(God) laudámus(to laud); te(thee) Dominum(Lord) 

confitémur(to confess).

하느님 당신을 讚美하나이다; 당신께서 주님이심을 告白하나이다

We praise Thee, O God: we confess Thee to be the Lord. 

Te(Thee) ætérnum(eternal) Patrem(Father) omnis(all) terra(earth) venerator(to venerate).

永遠하신 아버지 당신을 온 땅이 敬拜하나이다

All the earth doth venerate Thee, the eternal Father. 

Tibi(to Thee) omnes(all) Angeli(Angels); tibi(to thee) cæli(heavens) et(and) univérsae(universe) potestátes(powers).

당신께 모든 天使들이; 당신께 하늘과 온 世上 ‘權力(or 權勢)’들이

To Thee all Angels; to Thee the Heavens and all the powers therein. 

Tibi(to Thee) Chérubim(Cherubim) et(and) Séraphim(Seraphim) incessábili(incessantly) voce(to voice) proclámant(to proclaim):

당신을 榮光스러운 使徒들이 合唱하나이다

The glorious Apostles sing a chorus of Thee. 

Te(Thee) Prophetárum(Prophets) laudábilis(to laud) numerous(numerous);

당신을 數많은 豫言者들이 讚美하나이다

The numerous Prophets praise Thee. 

Te(Thee) Mártyrum(Martyrs) [candidates (dressed in white toga)]* laudat(to laud) exércitus(an army).

당신을 殉敎 志望者들의 무리가 讚美하나이다

The army of candidates for Martyrs praise Thee. 

   *In the ancient Roman era, the candidate who is supposed to take office is required to put on a white toga (Source: 가톨릭大 出版部　辭典)

당신을 온 世上을 ‘通하여(or 걸쳐서)’ 거룩한 敎會가 告白하나이다

The holy Church throughout all the world doth confess Thee (to be the Lord); 

Patrem(Father) imménsæ(immense) majestátis(majestic);

無限히 莊嚴하신 아버지;

The Father of an immense Majesty; 

Venerándum(venerable) tuum(thy) verum(true) et(and) únicum(only) Fílium(Son);

尊嚴하신 당신의 참되시고 唯一하신 아드님;

Thine veberableable, true, and only Son; 

Sanctum(Holy) quoque(also) Paráclitum(Paraclete) Spíritum(Spirit)

또한 ‘辯護者(or 慰勞者)’이신 聖靈님

Also the Holy Spirit who is our Comforter.

당신은 榮光의 王이시나이다, 그리스도 님

Thou art the King of Glory, O Christ. 

Tu(Thou) Patris(Father) sempitérnus(eternal) es(to be) Fílius(Son).

당신은 永遠하신 아버지의 아드님이시나이다

Thou art the eternal Son of the Father. 

Tu(Thou) ad(at) liberándum(liberty) susceptúrus(to undertake) hóminem(man), non(not) horruísti(to have horror) Vírginis(Virgin) úterum(womb).

당신은 人間을 (救援하는 課業을) 스스로 떠맡으셨고, ‘童貞女 몸을 두려워하지 않으셨도다 (or 童貞女 子宮에서 태어나심을 두려워하지 않으셨도다)’

Thou tookest upon Thee to deliver man: Thou didst not abhor the Virgin's womb. 

Tu(Thou), devícto(to win) mortis(death) acúleo(sharp), aperuísti(to open) credéntibus(believers) regna(kingdom) cælórum(heaven).

당신은 날카로운 죽음을 이기시고 믿는 者들에게 天國을 여시었나이다 

Thou hadst overcome the sharpness of death, Thou didst open the Kingdom of Heaven to all believers. 

Tu(Thou) ad(at) déxteram(right side) Dei(of God) sedes(to sit), in(in) glória(glory) Patris(Father).

당신은 아버지의 榮光 안에서 하느님 오른쪽에 앉아계시나이다

Thou sittest at the right hand of God in the glory of the Father. 

Judex(Judge) créderis(to believe) esse(to be) ventúrus(to come in future).

저희는 (당신께서) 審判者로서 將次 오실 것을 믿나이다

We believe that Thou shalt come to be our Judge. 

Te(Thee) ergo(therefore) quǽsumus(to request), tuis(thy) fámulis(servants) súbveni(to appear), 

따라서 저희는 당신의 從僕(종복)들인 저희에게 나타나 주시기를 懇請(간청)하옵나이다

We therefore request Thee to appear to Thy servants 

quos(whom) pretióso(precious) sanguine(blood) redemísti(to redeem).

‘귀한 피가(or 寶血이)’ 救援하신 저희에게 (나타나 주시기를)

whom Thou hast redeemed with Thy precious blood. 

Ætérna(Eternal) fac(to do) cum(with) sanctis(saints) tuis(thy) in(in) glória(glory) numerári(to be numbered).

(저희를) 永遠토록 榮光 속에서 聖人들과 함께 하는 班列에 있게 하소서 

Make them be numbered with Thy Saints in the eternal glory

Salvum(to save) fac(to do) pópulum(people) tuum(thy), Dómine(Lord), et(and) bénedic(to bless) hæreditáti(heritage) tuæ(thy).

당신의 百姓을 救援하소서, 주님, 그리고 당신의 血統을 祝福하소서

O Lord, save Thy people and bless Thine heritage. 

Et(and) rege(to govern) eos(them), et(and) extólle(to lift) illos(them) usque(continuously) in(in) ætérnum(eternity).

그리고 그들을 다스리시고 그들을 永遠히 끊임없이 높여주소서 

And govern them and lift them up continuously in eternity. 

Per(per) síngulos(every) dies(days) benedícimus(to bless) te(thee).

날마다 저희는 당신을 祝聖하나이다

Everyday we bless Thee 

Et(And) laudámus(to laud) nomen(name) tuum(thy) in(in) sǽculum(generation), et(and) in(in) sǽculum(generation) sǽculi(generations).

그리고 ‘永遠히(or 子孫代代로 )’ 당신 이름을 讚美하오리다

And we laud Thy name generation after generation without end. 

Dignáre(to deign), Dómine(Lord), die(day) isto(in that manner) sine(without) peccáto(sin) nos(us) custodíre(to protect).

주님, 오늘도 그렇게 저희를 罪 없이 살도록 지켜주소서

O Lord, deign to protect for us to live today in that manner without sin. 

Miserére(to have mercy) nostril(us), Dómine(Lord), miserére(to have mercy) nostril(us).

저희를 불쌍히 여기소서, 주님, 저희를 불쌍히 여기소서 

O Lord, have mercy upon us. 

Fiat(to be accomplished) misericórdia(mercy) tua(thy), Dómine(Lord), super(on) nos(us), quemádmodum(as) sperávimus(to wish) in(in) te(thee).

주님, 저희가 당신을 ‘바라는(or 願하는)’ 것처럼 저희에게 당신의 慈悲가 이루어지소서, 

O Lord, let Thy mercy lighten upon us as our trust is in Thee. 

In(in) te(thee), Dómine(Lord), sperávi(to wish): non(not) confúndar(to be confused) in(in) ætérnum(eternity).

주님, 당신을 저희가 ‘바라고(or 願하고)’ 있읍니다: 永遠히 저희에게 ‘混亂이(or 懷疑가)’ 없게 해주소서 

O Lord, we wish not to be confused in eternity
